Strawberry season is finished for another year. Thanks for all your support.

In Fall of 2015, the Richmond Nursery constructed new greenhouses at 5740 Old Richmond Road, the corner of Richmond Road and Fallowfield Road. The Strawberry Farm and Greenhouse are now together at the same location.

Farewell Alf

Published in Blog

Alf was a long time friend of the family and nursery handyman. It is with a heavy heart we say goodbye to him on March 31, 2008.

It is with great sadness that I must announce that George Rofner, owner of Richmond Nursery, son of Ludwig Rofner and Anna Spiegel, passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 73 during the early hours of the night on October 23rd, 2010. He leaves behind his beloved wife Claudia Rofner, daughter Debbie Rofner (Curt Millar), son Peter Rofner (Sue Secord), and cherished grandson Jakob.

The people involved in Richmond Nursery gives us our character we have to this day. A thanks to all the people whom we've worked with over the years.

The nursery and garden centre has changed over the years. Enjoy our visual trip down memory lane.

Take a historic walk down memory lane of the Richmond Nursery Strawberry Farm.

Horticulture is farming and nothing has more trial, tribulations, and failures than farming.

Our History

The Richmond Nursery started our not in it's current location, but in an area called "Ottawa Park" near the dead-end of Ottawa Street. This was behind George and Claudia's original home.
